New Deep Eddy Supervisor

Deep Eddy Aquatic Supervisor Callahan Smith

A few months ago Austin Parks and Recreation’s Aquatics Division had a Supervisor leave the Division, so they borrowed Edward Balaguar to run public pools while DeAndre Cain stepped in to oversee Deep Eddy.  While Edward will remain as Aquatic Supervisor over all Public Pools, DeAndre has returned to his position as sole Supervisor for Barton Springs Pool. We are pleased to announce that Callahan Smith is the new Aquatic Supervisor overseeing Deep Eddy Pool. She will also oversee lifeguard recruiting efforts for the coming summer season. 

Callahan is far from new to the Aquatics Division and some of you may remember when she previously managed Deep Eddy Pool.  Callahan has been with the Aquatics Division for almost 10 years and has worked on the maintenance team, managed Barton Springs and Deep Eddy, and most recently was an Instructional Swim Program Coordinator.  Please join us in congratulating Callahan and welcome her when you see her at the pool!
